Subscription Terms

Last updated May 6, 2026

These Subscription terms explain how SKILLSETTER LTD (hereinafter – "We", "Skillsetter"), a legal entity incorporated under the laws of Cyprus, registration number: HE 421968, address: 28 Oktovriou, 367, MEDITERRANEAN COURT, Floor 1, Flat/Office A5, 3107, Limassol, Cyprus, CIF/NIF 10421968R, VAT ID: CY10421968R, subscription, renewals, cancellations and refund work. They form part of your agreement with Skillsetter under the Terms of Use.

1. Auto-Renewal and Billing

Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each paid term (as shown at checkout and/or our website) until you cancel.

By subscribing, you authorize Skillsetter (or its payment processor) to store your payment method, process recurring charges at the current rate and billing period, and update expired or re-issued details where your payment network supports it.

Prices are shown in the currency indicated at checkout. Your bank or card issuer may apply currency conversion or other fees.

We may also place a temporary authorization hold to verify your payment method; this hold will be released by your bank.

You can review your plan information, renewal date, and payment status in your account (if available) or by contacting support@coursby.com.

If payment cannot be processed, Skillsetter may retry the charge, prompt you to update your payment method, or temporarily suspend access until payment succeeds.

Continued non-payment may result in termination of your subscription, and you remain responsible for all amounts due for the current billing term.

Plan prices, billing periods, and available features may be updated from time to time. Where required by law, Skillsetter will notify you in advance of any material change, stating the new rate and its effective date.

Prices may include or exclude applicable taxes. Any VAT, GST, sales tax, or similar charge will be calculated and displayed at checkout and reflected on your receipt.

2. Trials and Introductory Offers

Skillsetter may offer free trials, discounted periods, or other introductory promotions. The length of any trial, its conversion date, and the price and billing period that apply afterward are shown at checkout or in accompanying materials.

By starting a trial, you authorize Skillsetter (or its payment processor) to begin charging your payment method automatically at the listed rate once the trial ends, unless you cancel before the conversion date. After conversion, the subscription renews automatically under these Subscription Terms and the Terms of Use until you cancel.

Trials and introductory offers are generally limited to new customers and may be modified, withdrawn, or limited at any time. We may restrict the number of trials per person, household, or payment method and may revoke a trial in cases of misuse. If you cancel during a trial, you will not be charged, and access to paid features may end immediately or at the end of the trial, as indicated at signup. Where required by law, we will send a reminder before a trial converts to a paid plan.

Where available under applicable law, you retain any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period in addition to the rights described in our Terms of Use.

3. Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time to stop future renewals. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you retain paid access until that date unless otherwise stated in writing.

To cancel, follow the instructions available in your account (if offered) or contact support@coursby.com from your registered email address.

Downgrades (switching to a lower-priced plan) take effect at the end of the current billing period unless we state otherwise.

All subscription fees are non-refundable once charged, except (1) where a refund is required by law; (2) where Skillsetter confirms a verified billing error; or (3) where a specific refund guarantee was clearly advertised for that plan or promotion.

If you were charged twice for the same billing period, Skillsetter will refund the duplicate once verified.

Any voluntary or goodwill refund does not create a continuing right to refunds for future renewals.

No credits or prorated refunds are issued for unused time in a billing period, early cancellation, suspension, or downgrade, except as required by applicable law.

If you dispute a legitimate charge or file a chargeback without a reasonable basis, Skillsetter may suspend or terminate your access and recover any related fees or losses, as permitted or required by applicable law. If you believe a payment was made in error, contact support@coursby.com for assistance before initiating any payment dispute.

Subscriptions obtained through third-party marketplaces or other resellers are governed by those platforms' billing, cancellation, and refund policies. Skillsetter cannot modify or refund those transactions. If you purchased through a third-party marketplace, cancellation must be completed directly through that platform under its rules.

Effects of suspension or termination on billing are described in our Terms of Use.

4. Price and Plan Changes

Skillsetter may update subscription prices, billing periods, plan features, or included content from time to time.

Where required or permitted by applicable law, Skillsetter will provide reasonable advance notice of any material change, stating the new rate and its effective date. The updated price or plan takes effect on your next renewal unless you cancel before that date. Continuing your subscription after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new rate and plan.

Adjustments may occur for reasons such as changes in taxes, exchange rates, payment-processor or platform fees, service improvements, new or expanded features, or shifts in market conditions.

If an obvious pricing or typographical error occurs at checkout, Skillsetter may correct the error, cancel the affected transaction, and issue any appropriate refund under applicable law.

Skillsetter may introduce new subscription tiers or promotional structures that differ from existing ones. Moving to a new plan is optional unless required to maintain access where a previous plan is retired or replaced.

For subscriptions purchased through third-party platforms or marketplaces, price-change notices and renewals are managed under those platforms' own terms and processes. Skillsetter cannot modify or override their renewals, notifications, or billing intervals.

5. Course and Feature Updates

Skillsetter may add, modify, replace, or discontinue courses, materials, tools, or features of the Service at any time. These updates may occur to maintain quality and accuracy, improve performance, address legal or regulatory requirements, or adapt to changes in technology or learning practices.

Unless required by applicable law, Skillsetter has no obligation to maintain, continue, or restore any specific course, module, or feature. If a course or feature becomes outdated or is withdrawn, Skillsetter may offer a comparable alternative, suggest replacement content, or discontinue it without liability. Updates, retirements, or removals do not entitle you to refunds, credits, or extensions, except where required by law.

For prepaid fixed-term access, Skillsetter may, where legally required, provide a pro-rated refund or credit if a core component of the purchased course or bundle is permanently removed before the end of the paid term.

Certain courses, features, or integrations may vary depending on your plan, device, or region and may rely on third-party tools or services. Skillsetter does not control or guarantee the availability, quality, or security of such third-party integrations and is not responsible for their performance or downtime. Your use of those tools is subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

From time to time, Skillsetter may provide access to beta, preview, or experimental features. These features may be incomplete, change frequently, have reduced support, or be discontinued without notice. They are provided "as is" without warranties, and their availability or continuity is not guaranteed.

You are responsible for maintaining compatible hardware, software, and reliable internet access to use the Service. Performance may vary depending on your configuration and network conditions. Skillsetter may apply reasonable technical, usage, or access limits to maintain service integrity and protect users.

6. App Stores and Marketplaces

Skillsetter cannot issue refunds or alter renewals for marketplace subscriptions. If you obtained or manage your Skillsetter subscription through a third-party platform or marketplace, that platform's billing, renewal, cancellation, and refund policies apply. Skillsetter does not control and cannot modify, process, or override payments, renewals, or refunds made through those platforms.

Follow the instructions provided by the respective marketplace to manage your subscription, update payment information, or cancel auto-renewal. Questions about charges, billing history, or refunds for marketplace purchases must be directed to that marketplace's customer-support channel.

Skillsetter may confirm your account status on our Service but cannot change or reverse marketplace billing decisions. If a subscription purchased through a marketplace is later linked to your Skillsetter account, the marketplace's terms continue to govern billing and renewal even if you access Skillsetter content directly.

Promotions, discounts, or refunds offered by Skillsetter may not apply to subscriptions purchased through third-party marketplaces. For the overall terms governing your Skillsetter account, refer to our Terms of Use.

7. Payment, Billing, and Taxes

All payments are processed securely through authorized third-party payment providers. Skillsetter does not store or process full payment-card details.

By starting a paid subscription, you authorize recurring charges to your selected payment method at the disclosed rate and billing period until you cancel. You also authorize Skillsetter and its payment processor to store and update your payment information and to retry failed charges unless you remove or update the payment method.

If a charge fails, Skillsetter may prompt you to update your payment method, temporarily suspend access to paid features, or terminate your subscription if payment is not successfully completed. You remain responsible for all amounts due for the current billing term.

Billing details, including your plan, renewal date, price, and taxes, are displayed at checkout and available in your Skillsetter account (if applicable) or through your payment provider. After each successful payment, Skillsetter or its processor will issue a digital receipt or invoice showing the plan name, billing period, and any applicable taxes.

You are responsible for keeping your account and contact information accurate so that billing communications reach you. Skillsetter is not responsible for any delay, suspension, or charge error caused by incorrect payment details, failed authorization, or your payment provider's actions.

Prices may be shown inclusive or exclusive of applicable taxes depending on your billing location. Any value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), sales tax, or similar indirect tax will be calculated and displayed at checkout and reflected on your receipt. Skillsetter determines the applicable tax rate based on your billing address or other data from your payment provider. If your location changes, tax treatment may adjust at your next renewal.

You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or fees imposed by your jurisdiction that Skillsetter does not collect. Where required by applicable law, Skillsetter may issue self-billing or reverse-charge invoices for VAT-registered customers or request additional information for tax-reporting purposes.

Fees are non-refundable once charged, except where required by law or expressly stated in a specific offer. If you believe a billing error occurred, contact support@coursby.com within 30 days of the charge. Skillsetter will investigate and correct any verified errors.

If you dispute a legitimate charge or initiate an unwarranted chargeback, Skillsetter may suspend or terminate your account until the issue is resolved and recover associated costs to the extent permitted by law.
